Your support for the scheduled POE trip to Organ Stop Pizza is urgently needed ... and sure to also be fun and delicious!
On Thursday 6/21, at 1:00 pm, POE students, staff, and faculty will be visiting OSP for "Lunch with Lew" and a close-up opportunity to experience the world's largest Wurlitzer. This event is open to ALL CAZAGO members and their guests. We need a minimum of 50 attendees, so please invite your family and friends and RSVP to Judy Riden at 480 968-0407 by Friday, 6/15. $10.25 (per person) buys you a lot of pizza, salad, and a beverage. (Beer & wine are extra.) Just remember that OSP is a cash-only business, but guild members can now pay using a debit/credit card directly to our Treasurer, Paul Tepker. (Ahhh, technology!) This is a great chance to meet and greet our eager, young, future organists and also visit with your friends and colleagues. Oh, and PIZZA! See you there.

POE Volunteers Urgently Needed!
Female Dorm Chaperone Needed For POE. One more chaperone is required for the eleven (11) girls attending POE. Judy Riden is one, and two are required. (Craig Westendorf is the chaperone for the four boys.) Your responsibility will be to stay in the dorm each night from around 9:00 pm until 8:00 am. You and Judy will share a two-bed room w/bathroom and kitchenette. The dorm is located at Arizona Christian University, 2625 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix. The dates are Sunday, June 17 through Thursday night, June 21. If you are interested and available, please contact Judy Riden ASAP at 480 968-0407 or ALL POE volunteers and staff must undergo a background check!

We Are Also Looking For Eight (8) Drivers to transport our POE students from their organ lessons and lunch (different churches) at 1:00 pm to their afternoon events each day:
Monday 6/18: Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, Richards, Fowkes & Co. organ – Demo/Lecture on Articulation;
Tuesday 6/19: La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church – Organ Building presentation by Brian Berghaus and Registration Workshop by Jonathan Oblander;
Wednesday 6/20: Afternoon at the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum) – a 15-seat van may be available for this trip;
Thursday 6/21: Lunch at Organ Stop Pizza (OSP); Victory Lutheran Church – Workshop (TBA), open console time, then dinner at VLC;
Friday 6/22: American Lutheran – Preparation and final Student Recital (
open to the public);
Following the M, T & W afternoon sessions, drivers return students to the dorm for dinner.

Additionally, we need chaperones at each church, where lessons are being given, to chaperone the student practicing while a second student is having a lesson, then the students trade places. Time would be daily from 9:30 – Noon. As stated above, ALL POE volunteers and staff must undergo a background check!

If you are able and interested, please contact Doug Benton at 602 710-5425 (cell, text or call) or Come help us to turn eager young pianists into amazing young organists!
